Ed Hall, CTP - 2000 Inductee

Greater Rochester Visitors Association Ed Hall, CTP, president and CEO of the Greater Rochester Visitors Association, was inducted into the National Tourism Foundation’s Hall of Fame during the NTA Annual Convention in Salt Lake City, Nov. 10 – 15, 2000. Hall has been a constant supporter of the Foundation and its mission from its beginning in 1982. Over the years Hall has served as a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees and most recently served as the Foundation’s 1999 Chairman. “I am tremendously honored to join the distinguished past inductees in the NTF Hall of Fame,” said Hall. “This honor is the highlight of my career. For more than 15 years the work of the Foundation has been my passion. To see the Foundation grow from a good idea; to having awarded more than $1 million in scholarships, grants and awards is extremely rewarding.” In addition to giving his time and energy in the direction of the Foundation, Hall has also shown his commitment to the travel and tourism industry through the creation of the Diversity Scholarship, which is managed by the Foundation. The Diversity Scholarship is designed to assist minority students as they work towards careers in the travel and tourism industry. To find out more about the Diversity Scholarship or to make a donation, contact the Foundation at 800-682-8886, ext. 4251.
